Sharif Faizullah

Listen to the red flags. No pay attention. Ron. Because he is gonna try to hide them. Rank up at marriage.mba. Divorce, proof your future marriage today. This is how it goes. During courtship, when you get to know him, he is at his best. Ooh, gentlemen, beautiful. But then marriage will bring out the rest. One in three women in the US suffer from intimate partner violence. Now, if you ask them, they're gonna tell you, man, I wish I noticed all of his red flags when I was getting to know him.

That's because they're at the bottom of that slippery slope. They've seen the trajectory that their relationship has taken and gone. If I had noticed that, my path would have been different to where I am now.

Sharif Faizullah

The more charming the man is, the more you want to watch out for any alarming clues he doesn't want you to see. Some of these red flags will stare you right in the face, but you won't notice them. You know why? Because, oh boy, everything about him is so cute. Here's the good news a man might hide some of his red flags. But inshallah, if you practice this next true love skill, it is impossible for him to hide all of his red flags. Here is true love skill number two detective red flag. Put on your detective hat, take out your magnifying glass, go Sherlock, and ask, which red flags am I likely to overlook because I like him? And that's the key. It's okay to like him, but be aware of that.

Most girls have been in this situation. They like a guy, they see him, they think, oh, he does XYZ, but it's fine because it's not that big of a deal. I like him. He's really good with this, that, and that. Listen to the red flags. Don't ignore them.

SPEAKER_01

When it comes to stuff like that, you have to take it at face value. Who he is at the beginning is who he is at the end. People change, but how much people change, and will that person change? It's all in their hands. You can't be like, he loves me so much, he's gonna change for me. You're not there yet where you're growing together. That comes after marriage.

SPEAKER_02

Before you guys are married, the power balance is more in your hands. Because he likes you, because he wants to impress you, he will be doing the most. You ask him, I don't know, hundred rows bouquet, he's gonna get that for you. Because he wants to win you, you are the prize. Whereas I think once you're married, obviously you're still the prize, don't let anyone tell you that you're not, but because he already knows he's got you, some men they may start to slack and be less inclined to change. So, my words of wisdom would be trust a man's actions and not his words when it comes to red flags. If he's saying he's going to change and he's not showing you that he is, run. Close that door, see you later, alligator.

Sharif Faizullah

It would be very sad if you are in a situation where you're oblivious to his red flags that are obvious, but then he ends up revealing his true abusive self after marriage. Not on my watch, inshallah. I'm going to share with you guys six red flags. But before I do that, I want to share with you five areas where you want to feel safe and secure. Coincidentally, Islam actually built a system to protect you in these areas. And those areas are intellect, family, life, faith, and wealth. So when I go through any red flag, I want you to ask yourself, which area am I protecting? And if you keep this in mind, as you get to know a guy, as you do background check on a guy, as you go through the process of getting married, am I securing these five areas? Because if you are, inshallah you'll be okay.

SPEAKER_01

What if he talks negatively about others to me as his confidant, but I haven't heard him speak negatively about me to others? Would that still be a red flag? Obviously, he trusts me, so he feels comfortable saying that to me.
